The athletic department has posted their game notes for the RPI game.  As usual there is some good stuff in there.  A couple months ago I posted how the San Jose Sharks basically release zero information on their prospect camp.  Well that’s too bad since it looks like Matt Irwin attended it along with Sharks draftee Justin Braun.

Here’s an article on RPI’s goaltender, Allen York.  It should be interesting to see how UMass tries to crack the hulking backstop.

The Team Canada Jr A Team East will be announced in the next couple days according to this article.  Recruit Joel Hanley attended the tryout camp this past summer and is a candidate to be named to the team.  Also attending the camp was his fellow Newmarket blueliner Justin Melchiori, a Lowell recruit who is off to a great start on the CCHL season.

After not making INCH’s pre-season All-American teams, Hockey East’s returning top scorer somehow doesn’t make College Hockey News’ All-American or Players to Watch lists either.  I really hope James Marcou is taking note of this.
