Niagara Game Notes; Parker Update

The game notes are up for this weekend’s 400 mile home and home with Niagara.

Yesterday I mentioned that James Marcou was named Hockey East Player of the Month.  Later in the day the official release was posted by the conference and Paul Dainton was runner-up for Goaltender of the Month honors as well.

John Parker continues to do well with Team USA in the World Junior A Challenge.  After putting up a goal in the team’s exhibition he scored again in the tourney opener against Canada West.  Unfortunately the US lost the game 5-4 in a shootout.  They did rebound the next night to defeat Belarus 6-1 and will play Sweden in the quarterfinals tomorrow.

I’m glad to report that Donnie Moorhouse is back on the radio calling hockey for his alma mater AIC.

Good for Paul. Sounded like he was a bit shakey this past weekend, but the numbers back him up as being runner-up last month. If we win saturday, maybe the results are flipped. We’re going to need him to be one of the top 2-3 goalie in HE this year if we want to make any real noise.

I’m glad Marcou won, I thought DeCosta might get it. That kid could be scary.
