Carzo on Watch List; Olczyk On The USHL; Marcou On Sat Radio

I mentioned a few weeks back that a couple UMass recruits made the NHL Central Scouting’s watch list for junior/HS players.  Well the college list came out yesterday and Rocco Carzo is listed as a “C” level player, meaning he has a chance to go in one of the late rounds of next year’s draft.

Δ

Eddie Olczyk is mentioned in this story about his legendary father’s respect for the level of play in the USHL from the Youngstown Phantom’s website.

Δ

James Marcou will be on the College Hockey All-Access radio show which I’ve never heard of because I don’t have satellite radio.

Real scoreboards at Volpe?  So let me get this straight.  UMass is in 1st place in Hockey East while BU is 2nd to last, Lowell is receiving first place votes in the national polls, and Merrimack has a winning record and is working on capital improvements to their arena.  Dogs and cats living together.  Mass hysteria!

What did the Terriers do to upset the hockey Gods over the Summer?  They absolutely cannot catch a break.

I’m pretty sure BU is just paying the price for selling their souls last season. They had more than enough breaks/funny bounces/miracle wins to last a lifetime. That shit has to come back to haunt you.

    • I think he had an equipment problem and was just trying to get to the locker room as quickly as possible.

i reffed the last game the clocked somewhat worked. halfway through the first period of a 3 game set the clock died, so the scorekeeper had to wave a yellow flag with ten seconds left and it was pretty bad. there was some sort of repair man who ran over to the box like an emt in an attempt to fix it, but i guess that failed too. poor north andover community college 😦
