You wouldn’t know it if you just saw the final score of 7-2, but the Massachusetts hockey team went toe-to-toe with #11 Boston University for over half of this game. The Minutemen had the lead for most of the first period and with just under seven minutes left in the second period the teams were deadlocked at two goals apiece. But the end of the game was reminiscent to last season when the wheels would regularly fall off for the Minutemen and they’d give up a rash of goals on the way to an embarrassing result. That’s exactly what happened last night.
